    Why should women get to wear all the pretty dresses? Why can't men also flounce about in the feathers, lace or fine embroidery if they fancy? These are the questions being posed by the daring young Spanish label, Palomo Spain, whose flamboyant show kicked off the Paris men's fashion week late Tuesday.

    That link pretty much says it all. Designer disavows all intent to cater to the other genders than m or f, yet sure seems like that's the fundamental idea of increasing sales.

    Personally I wouldn't be caught dead ( or alive ) in that gender specific get up. As someone mentioned earlier, it is a retro 1600's fashion look. What next.....dueling swords and flintlock pistols?

    Retro French, Nuff said!
    I see the idea as a take off of the Steam Punk, and maybe a blend of the two, but no more!
    Years ago in Germany, there was a "trend" for men to wear High Heel shoes and boots, Not women's shoes, but designs made specifically for men! No thank you me says, but it was quite fun to see, especially trying to decide who were the sissyboys, and who were just trying to be new cool! It failed shortly after it started, but it did leave openings for other things, like Men's lingerie, that too didn't fare well, Thank God!!!

    Loves me a Tactical Kilt, so many factual uses, and in my culture, they wore them with pants and spats over the below knee riding boots! Very useful kit! In fashion, decidedly not!

    Thank you for the fashion report from Paris but I will pass on the newly liberate men. I tend to be old-fashion preferring my men in flannel and denim.

    I'm just waiting for codpieces to come back in fashion. It's the only piece of XXXL bit of apparel I'd ever wear. (Even if I have to stuff it!).;)
