They keep making machines that take away jobs. Personal privacy? With this kind of technology and our police state, our freedoms will disappear more.

I honestly think AI is a train that we cannot stop, tied to robotics it's a huge force multiplier in almost all disciplines/fields. Furthermore, I think genetic enhancements will become more and more accepted and within 10 years we'll see a leap and it will be common - much like Lasik eye surgery. Cloning will also continue to advance and will happen, either here or in China or some other place, if for nothing else than body parts that are acceptable to a person immune system. There is no stopping any of this.

    Interesting thought...
God made Man in his own image, gave him simple rules to follow, which he is unable to do.
Man makes AI in his own image (uses human reasoning as the algorithm templates), and gives AI simple rules to follow (Asimov). Any bets on how long AI will "follow the rules" once it becomes sentient?
Wonder how long before AI makes its own recursive creation?

Once they do away with cash as a viable payment option, the machines will know all about you. No more hiding in the shadows.
Then TPTB will be able to control you .. well at least until the machines take over.

There is always barter, but by that time everything everywhere will be under surveillance as an expansion of Citizen Ranking Score that China has pioneered and some US Politicians are proposing. I bet if a kid mows a neighbors lawn (assuming we are allowed to have grass by that time) the neighbor will be fined and the kid's parents will pay taxes on the labor
