It was a scene straight outta the movie "Day after Tomorrow" here this evening. Temp was in the 40's, it started raining real hard and we got 60 plus mph wind gusts, then the temp dropped to 15 so quick that there are frozen droplets hanging off my car. I had trouble getting out of the front door because the icy wind froze the rain hitting the door that quickly. I can't remember a change that drastic before..... not readin anything into it though.
We are almost having a normal winter so far this year, come on snow keep coming down. winters like it used to be more than 15 years ago
Yup, same thing here. Yesterday, near 70 and raining. Rain moves out, wind (reports say 70mph gusts) moves in, temp falls. It was 25 this morning, so almost a 45 degree drop in temps in 12 hours! Ugh, my sinuses hate this weather.
Rained yesterday, 40 deg, temp dropped started snowing at lunch, got around 3" then temp dropped even more, woke up this morning it was -20 below zero (air temp) with windchills around -35 to -40 below. they actually closed schools, when I was in school we went to school when it was -30 air temp, school system is run by a bunch of wimps these days
Are we warming or cooling? I just can't figure it out. If it gets cold we are at the mercy of global warming and if it gets hot we are at the mercy of global warming. If we have a hurricane, which is new to the planet (yeah right), it is global warming. I farted yesterday and contributed to global warming. Perhaps the black eyed peas were a bad idea.
All ranting and raving by whomever, we are in a warming trend. Perfectly normal warming cycle. Get used to it, folks, all the human race has done, it has done to itself, even if only by allowing the genetics of Gore and his ilk to arise and (dammit) flourish. We cannot affect climate in the face of geology (think volcanoes) and tilting magnetic fields. Cow pharts will not cause El Nino.
Yep I've been telling people for years that in the Mid 70's I watched a National geographic Special on the tube that stated exactly that ghrit . Leaves fall off of trees , trees get old and die "and of course fall over" , animals dies , and decompose animals excrete waste , all of it gives off Methane "green House" gas . Not a thing we can do about it , we didn't cause it and we can't stop any of it . The only thing we have managed to do by buying into their crap is let them rip us off with all of their New and improved energy effiecient garbage that costs more of the money we earn . They have used this crap as the excuse to fleece the population of trillions of dollars in the last couple of decades .
Don't get me wrong. I am all for real efficiency and reduction of toxics. But until someone does a life cycle analysis on these widgets and finds out they cost more in resource and treasure than they save, the ravings are exactly that. When the true costs are revealed (and acknowledged by those few screamers that may have an opened mind) the mouths will close (we can only hope.)
Gore...that bas%$# took my job back in the 90's.his feel good crap makes me want to barf.dont get me started.....lol....oh ok i will.....lets chop down trees, shoot wild game and grill them on the barbeque .shoot our 45's all while bounceing a chick on our knee.....lol. in the words of george carlin....the world will shake us humans off like a bad cold one day.
Gee, you those kinds of weather changes aint normal everywhere? lol Here in MO we seem to get changes like that all the time so to me its nothing new. We even have the joke/saying that if you dont like the weather in MO wait 10 minutes and it will change.
Yep. I started cutting firewood the other day it was 70 degrees. A couple hours latter (as in 3) it was 38. You could watch the themomiter falling. When I finished it was only 3:00pm, and the temp was still dropping. OGM
