Since the founder of Amazon and his wife have publicly supported the keeping of the gay marriage in Washington, is there any organization that can be used for shopping like Amazon? For many survival items there are other providers that can be accessed without Amazon, although some are accessed by Amazon also. Thanks
Are you asking if there is another internet book seller/ retail outlet that you can order stuff that does not support the LGBT community?
Overstock.com has a lot of overlap. I don't know what their politics are though. Buy.com also has a lot of overlap. I shop from them regularly. They once had a FatMax framing hammer for $9.99 on their daily deal...I bought a sackful.
I thought Survival Monkey got a small commision from Amazon and it helped to support this website. If I'm wrong please let me know.
You are correct. The commission, so far as I know, applies to all purchases made from Amazon if you log in from the site. If you go in via Amazon's front door, there's some way to have it happen as well, but it's much easier to use the SM link at the top of the page in "notices".
Thanks ghrit. I see why some may not choose to purchase from Amazon, but not me. I've been a customer for years and am very happy with most products, especially the daily deals. Their return policies are great, they sell a variety of products at a good price AND I get free shipping. I'm not a supporter of LBGT community, but will continue to order from Amazon.
Since I do not care either way about LGBT's I will continue to buy through Amazon, and benefiting SM is an added bonus.
