Someone gets it? It would seem... common sense appears to be alive and healthy? Looked around some... seems there are a considerable number of these types of video's about... so I added another A rather remarkable thing has begun in America. It’s an awakening of sorts. Check that. It’s not “of sorts.” It is an absolute awakening. It’s been dubbed as #Walkaway. As most know, I, the Common Constitutionalist, was not, am not, and will never be an “Ever-Trumper.” I wholeheartedly support the president when I believe he is right and constitutional on policy, and call him out when he strays. As the saying goes: “It’s not personal – it’s just business.” Being a Never-Trumper or Ever-Trumper is just silly and irrational. But thank heavens for president Trump and the many things he has accomplished thus far. Most have been well publicized as good or evil, but known to most nonetheless. And most leftist campaigns against him have been equally well publicized. However, one campaign may not – at least not yet. It’s called the #Walkaway movement, and I don’t think it would have begun without Trump being elected. Up until this last presidential election, Ronald Reagan was the most hated Republican president. Reagan was labeled as the amiable dunce by the left, and to be sure, was hated by them. But as much as they disliked Reagan’s policies, the left didn’t suffer from Reagan Derangement Syndrome. Nor did they of either George Bush. The reason was two fold. Despite his conservative bona fides, Reagan was a likeable guy. He was quick-witted and self-effacing, or as much as the leader of the free world can be. “W” was also likeable and developed a self-deprecating sense of humor. The other reason was that most liberals of that era weren’t full-on lunatics. And if they were, they were forced to remain in the closet, as it were. But today, most on the left, and many on the right, see Trump as the opposite, and it grates on them. They hate his policies and don’t see him as even a likeable guy. This is how Trump derangement began. Even some on the right can’t separate the man from his policies. Admittedly, it does take some discipline – not a strong suit of the left. But as the left becomes more unhinged, some liberals are waking up to the lunacy. Some are reaching the Red Line of “you’ve gone too far,” and refusing to cross. You may have heard of the #Walkaway movement. I hadn’t, but I have now and it’s darned exciting. The movement was begun, just recently, by now former leftist, homosexual New York hair stylist, Brandon Straka. His only knock is that he is white. Can’t have everything I suppose. He explains, clearly and concisely, why he has divorced himself from modern liberalism. No spin, no name-calling and no scripted talking points. And the movement is spreading fast. In his wake have appeared dozens of other accounts from women, blacks – former liberals from all walks of life, all denouncing the fallacy of leftism. It’s a beautiful thing to see liberals have their eyes opened for the first time. So what, you may ask, could this mean for the upcoming elections? Well, maybe nothing – maybe something. My first thought is really – how many people will actually be affected by this, to the point of leaving the democrat Party. Maybe not enough to affect this election cycle. Most leftist phony virtue signally campaigns catch fire due to force-feeding by the media, burn bright for a short period and then flame-out. In other words, they have no staying power. It’s why they constantly have to uncover the next boogeymen to “stand” against. They do so because there is no underlying substance. There is nothing beyond the slogans and talking points. But Brandon’s movement is different. It has what liberal movement’s lack – substance and thought. For a solid six minutes, Brandon uses logic and reason to explain, point by point, why he left the democrats and abandoned leftism. The democratic party is an off the rails crazy train. The dnc is trying to spin the record low unemployment as bad, reckless, dangerous, remember this after they tried to convince us that obamas "it's technically not a recession" economy was good. They want open boards, dismantling of law enforcement. The democratic party has gone full retard and all the moderate dems know it.
The conspiracy theorists will tell you it's all part of the plan. Regardless, do not count on the pundits and prognosticators to get it right.
My opinion? The Democratic party will more and more turn into the Socialist party... I watched the Walkaway video by Brandon and found it very well done, good script and good presentation, his articulation was excellent also. He nailed it! Hell, I might join if he starts a new party! LOL!
2 years in and they are starting to realize trump is probably right on a few things and they agree with him on a few things, this makes them want to suck fire a pistol, but they just wont do it.
The democratic party thinks that Trump and Congress are a tyrant and his minions. But yet they still want to get rid of guns. I'm thinking that they really haven't thought this out very well.
A recent poll also showed that MIllenials are as likely to vote Republican as Democrat (37% in each case with the remainder undecided).
As much as I'd like to see liberalism implode and the entire Democratic Party get sucked up by a UFO and be never seen or heard from again, the #walkaway movement is not any great revival. It's not even a real "movement". It's just a hot internet meme with no real heft behind it. Some dude made a video. It got tons of views. He's made numerous appearances on cable TV news programs. He's getting a lot of attention. It's all real nice. But how many liberals have actually "walked away"? No one really knows; making a big splash on the internet does not translate into a "movement". I truly wish #walkaway the best, but conservatives are always making fun of the liberal hashtag army that "likes" and "shares" their causes without any solid changes happening. How is #walkaway any different?
else than blind hate. Ask people what Trump is doing wrong and they get a blank look. He ain't perfect but has done almost all he ran on. Getting health care costs under control would get him elected again. However, in the hell, he could actually do that. None of our representatives seem to care about our debt. Trump at least mentions the second amendment and Constitutional Judges.
I agree, completely! It never fails to amaze me how they rant and rave and scream for impeachment until you ask that simple question, "What has he done or failed to do that is against the Constitution and/or impeachable?" They cannot name one damn thing. Reference Health Care...I don't think he can fix it, no one can. But, I will say this, I will vote for any party or anyone that promises to bring in Single-Payer Healthcare. I am that fed up. Currently, what we got is a nothing more than criminal blackmail and/or strong-arm robbery. And, I don't care if they call it Socialism. I don't care! I don't care if it's not perfect and has warts. I don't care! What I do care about is they can give my money away in Foreign Aid (that we have to borrow to repay) and/or buy 20 aircraft carriers (when we have only 2 coast lines) or pay $100 million - $2 billion per aircraft (F-35, B-2) or the thousand other things they waste money on yet something the citizens actually need and want they cannot/will not do.
