Well Detroit declared Bankruptcy. Most of us have seen the pictures of Detroit, and wouldn't want to go there. . Now we have Chicago. Pride of the Democrats. Pride of Advocates of Big Government. "We are from the Government, We are here to help you Mentality". No Son's of Liberty, Tea Party, Right Wing Conservatives need apply. You will not be welcomed here. . Here is an observation by a friend at my local Tea Party. . A wonderful State with ZERO Republicans!!! There are more people on Welfare in Illinois than there are people working. Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers -- than anywhere else in the U.S. averaging $110,000/year. Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. You can't blame that on republicans because there aren't any. Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what? Be sure to read till the end. I've never heard it explained better. There are quite a few republicans in Illinois, It is Chicago, that controls the state, and not by the will of her people (by land area) It is the high concentration of sheep in Chy-town that is pulling all the polita-crap. I know many hunters from there, Funny thing....ALL the Republicans I know live away from the Windycity and own guns.
You forgot Oprah. Chicago is a good example for other cities to look at. In CO, Denver & Boulder values seem to be taking over the state yet these are not values that a true reflection of the state. It is so bad that Northern Colorado is trying to become its own state. It amazes me that people can't look and read about Chicago and see the truth of what is happening there. My favorite Illinois politician is Mike ost- I think he reflects how people outside of Chicago truly feel.
