During my life time we have closed nearly all the state mental institutions, de institutionalized the mental ill and placed them in non secure facilities and for all practical purposed made them a privileged class as handicaped and disabled with access to social security and other funding. There is no effective cure for most mental illness conditions, only medications and such to manage their symptoms and our jails and prisons are full of the mental ill as that is about the only way to remove them from the streets without infringing on their rights to control their medical care. Even the most effective medications require that the patients have the ability to acquire them, have the correct dosage, and take the medications at the right time, in the right amount, and without harmful interactions. In my limited observations, many of those who are mentally ill or retarded, another word we are no longer supposed to use, are very open to being manipulated into doing things that are not in their best interests. That ranges from buying drinks for their "friends" with their state supplied money, to being sexually exploited, to criminal involvement and murder. Those who are now classed as bipolar, used to be called manic depressive, seem to commit many of the mass murders that we so often read about, and the media always focuses on the weapon used not the deranged individual using it. It isn't a tinfoil hat observation to note that certain small groups, street gangs of people of color, people with drug or alcohol abuse problems, and those that are mentally ill or retarded, among others, commit a much greater percentage of the crimes in the USA than their percentages of the population and yet almost any attempts to use these facts to limit crime is attacked as "targeting" and interfering with those individuals "civil rights". As a limited example the recent media circus over lynching etc of people of color. While I don't condone it, the frenzy over isolated deaths over the last 20 years, seems to be high lighted and the massive numbers of deaths due drugs and people of color killing other people of color is ignored.
I do not think the event was a false flag operation, it is instead yet another example of the news being modified to achieve a desired goal by the liberals, rather than a presentation of the facts. It is all an illusion and do not look behind the curtain to see the puppet master. Don't talk about the deranged individual, religious or otherwise, only talk about the evil weapon used and ignore the desired goal, disarming the people, and not the problems we are facing with mental health, poverty, racial relations, etc.

defamation lawsuit:
In 2012, Ramos filed a defamation lawsuit against the paper and a columnist over a July 2011 article that covered a criminal harassment charge against him.

He brought the suit against then-columnist Eric Hartley, naming Capital Gazette Communications and Thomas Marquardt, the paper’s former editor and publisher, as defendants.

Marquardt said he wasn’t surprised to hear Ramos identified as the alleged gunman, saying he started harassing the paper and its staff shortly after the 2011 article. The harassment escalated for years with online threats, Marquardt said.

“I was seriously concerned he would threaten us with physical violence,” Marquardt said from his retirement home in Florida. “I even told my wife, ‘We have to be concerned. This guy could really hurt us.’ ”

The paper called the cops. The cops did - Zip. Time for CCW by the staff.
