Soooo...Are you're saying that people here that state they were members of that thing, and were kicked out for disobeying the bosses, or disagreeing with them are lying? Or is your way of thinking fitting to rubies?
The trashing started after we red the rubies statement on their site, claiming that all other forums are full of fringe lunatics, weirdoes and god knows what else, but only they, rubies, are the chosen bunch...so, trashing is quite in order...And you know it too!
Otherwise, you wouldn't need to guard them on forums full of lunatics, right?
This forum is also full of serious people, who have the knowledge, the skills, and the will to help others, and not ask for anything in return! No obedience, no faith in the leaders, and they certainly have no need to publicly trash other forums, survivalists and preppers via their web site!
Rubies call all the others ignorant and uneducated in the prepping and survival techniques, but only they have the knowledge, and they tested their techniques in the wild! ... And no one else does that! ROFLMAO!
The way I react is as follows: If I'm provoked, I respond...If I'm insulted, I attack...If I'm pissed, I become rude, obnoxious and violent!
The trashing I'm doing is not going to help or prepare anyone for SHTF, but at least I'll feel better!... :D

Speaking of sycophants, welcome back. Apparently some of you have learned CPR. That's for the best, I'm sure, but it doesn't mean you should spend the rest of your days breathing life into every internet criticism of your club.

The Rubicon is populated with simple nuts and sycophants who feel compelled to trash any other organization and its members.

There you go. Fixed your typos - a service I'll provide on an ongoing basis for five bux a month.

Man, jumping in kind of late here....but for me, I've always been leery of sites that make you pay to be a member. Just doesn't sit well with me. So I'll stick it out with the rest of you monkeys!!!b::

Never call a bird of prey a monkey. He'll hand you your spleen.
OH! You meant Survival Monkey...Never mind...go back to your thread. These are not the droids you are looking for. . .

So falcon, are you a falconer? My buddy in Boise, ID is. Guess they've got a big Birds of Prey facility there.

No I worked in a Bird of Prey rehab facility. The best job I ever had. If it paid better, I would probably still be there. I would love to learn how to hunt birds of prey.

Of course you all realize I was being facetious.. none-the-less, I stand by my position as a Rubicon member. I am always open to differing opinions and appreciate the dissenting position of Fireplace Guy... probably the only person who’s been on the inside and whose viewpoint on the Rubicon is based on having been there. I disagree with his view, but respect it as coming from experience and from a legit preparedness person who I sort of know (from online).

We all have something to offer and let’s face it, collections of people of a preparedness mindset often contract into groups, or Sticks, or regional organizations... to better their chances by consolidating resources and limiting exposure. The Rubicon is an example of that I think..

Oh, man ... that is great! My dad was a vet and the Game Warden would bring him all kinds of injured critters to treat and rehab. The red-tailed hawks were my favorite ... very intelligent birds.

I was a member there for a little while and while there is a lot of good info on the site there is nothing there you can't find for free online or in a book. I never had a problem with any of the members or got any weird vibes from people. I personally knew one person there that referred me and he is a great guy.

The "management" of the site was a joke, I understand that they want serious minded people there but the way "war" manages things is not very intelligent.

In the end I got kicked off the site instantly because I paid for their archive DVD and didn't hear a single thing about it for months so I sent an extremely polite email asking if he received the money and everything was OK with the order and without hesitation I was kicked out for daring to ask how a purchase was going after a few months. Other than that one incident I never had a single argument with "war" or anyone else and never had any problems, I posted daily and contributed to the site regularly. Like I said "war" is a joke and if he didn't make people believe that his site is the only "real" source for survival info he would be the only member, actually who knows how it is doing today, I wouldn't be surprised if membership dropped drastically over the years. If not then the only thing keeping membership is the image the site has something you can’t get elsewhere so you feel “privileged” to be a member in spite of the horrible management.

Soooo...what you're saying is that everything was fine, except the minor snag that they took your money and kicked you out when you dared to complain?
You are really an ungratefull guy! After they let you swim in their pool of wisdom, you complain for such insignifficant thing as being ripped off!...
    Ts,ts,ts...the nerve some people have... ;) :D

Other than the attitude of some of the welcome pages and the so called management, I was willing to ignore that if I had access to good information, I never had problems with any of the posters themselves although I didn't really get into a lot of deep conversations with anyone either.

In the end I really dislike the weird, snotty, attitude that "war" perpetrated to the members so thanks to him the site sucks IMO.

wow.. another "hero of fortune" with his own little forum world and minions.. That's what it sounds like to me, and there are a few out there.. In the shooting world, tactical training world, etc, etc. I imagine these types of personalities will be the ones that start little fiefdoms like on "the postman".. Thats what keeps coming to my mind while reading these posts about this "war" character..

I think low profile and cautious kindness is a better route, and someone with a scope looking over your shoulder.. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a noob..

It's been some time but I checked them out. Wanted to join but at that time they " were not accepting any non member sponsored people" So I haven't tried since then. Although I'll admit they did have some pretty good info on their site at the time.

Nice info here. I've looked over the AR site and it kinda tweaked my interest, but after reading the posts here.....both pro and con....it looks like it ain't gonna be my cup of tea.

    Thanks, ya'll!
