Anybody on here tried a RAS47 or C39V2?

    Howdy y'all. Was having a discussion with a couple of fellows earlier, and both of these Century AK offerings came up. None of use knew anyone who could give any first hand accounts of them, and the internet opinions dance all over the place for all sorts of half valid reasons.

    Anybody shed any light?

    I just got a C39V2 and I have not put alot of rounds through it less an 300. I like it. I have shot a WASR and it was not as good shooting as the V2. This is just my opinion and I'm sure others will have different opinions, but I have not had any problems with any of the ammo that I have used. Steel cased or brass. Even my wife likes shooting it. Yes the internet will tell you all kinds of thingsm, but for the price of it I cant complain yet. I would like to get more rounds through it, just dont have the time or money to shot as much as I would like.

    As the milled receiver is more rigid; milled AKs are usually more accurate than stamped ones. Some stamped AKs are made using 1,5mm sheet metal instead of the usual 1,0mm sheet metal.

    The C39V2 and RAS47 also come with a "RAK-1 enhanced trigger group" which is a double hook trigger that helps trigger slap. It also adds 3 US parts for US 922 (r) compliance

    I'm buying one in the next few weeks. Actually, I'm buying a second one. I sold the first one unfired when my wife passed last December and I needed cash..
    It was unfired when it went, so I can only give you an impression. The fit and finish were very good. Minimal machine marks, nice finish and the front sight was straight. The wood was blond and nicely finished, maybe maple I don't remember. It can use any standard AK parts which was a selling point for me as well.
    That's the best I can do.

    @AxesAreBetter
    I've fingered one and it is well made. The trigger is really nice and as @GOG the machining plus fit and finish are nice. It is a long cry from the old Century parts gun.

    The guys over at the AK Operators Union do a couple of really good reviews. They don't pussyfoot around either. I like the site for entertainment and educational value as well. The Russian is a no BS guy.
    Links below. One's the website and one's their Youtube channel. That's where the RAS stuff is. Should be the second link.

    After shooting another few hundred rounds through mine, I like it. Its just alittle front heavy, but not to terrible. Its fun to shoot. I have not had any problems with any of the ammo that I have ran through it. The fit and finish is nice. I would recomend one to anyone that wants an AK. I know the Arsenal are really good, but I just didnt have that much money to drop on one.

    Sometimes, front heavy can help bring the muzzle down for follow up shots and others it is just heavy.
