Love the SBR! I, too, have a TWS Rifle. Works great! I'll post a pic as soon as I'm aloud--5 posts or 30 days.

This is a "kit" Ar15 in 300 Blackout, the upper is a AR 15 Assembled Uppers by BPM. If you look at the upper about 2/3rds of the way forward is a shiny spot inside the heat cage. This is a adjustment bleed system so that the BPM can be used with subsonic rounds and a Can. Works well for me.

What cannot be seen is the sling mount on the rear of the receiver at the stock. Also recently added is the Mag Pul BAD lever.

Many continue to ask why add things? Pretty simple. The original design was for a different purposed weapon.

This weapon can be used for hunting in areas that require something larger than a .22 round! Short range to 200 yards for a legal Game getter it exceeds the normal 30-30 and the AK.

Times change and so should a weapon if the owner sees the need.

Here are most of my two AR15's. Not shown are the Adams piston kits, POF cam rollers, and I swapped out the triggers in the photo for ALG's. Last part comes in next week. I'll post again when they get back from the paint shop and get the parts all wiggled together:
    upload_2014-7-6_10-35-38.

They are going to look something like this when I'm done cussing and swearing. They are intended for CQB, and as such are minimal for light weight and will be balanced for quick swing. Color scheme is Magpul foliage green with Magpul FDE furniture and contrasting components to help break it up. Scope is Aimpoint rather than Eotech due to soggy location.:

    Finally assembled as of Saturday

    Parts list:
    • Aero Precision Upper
    • Black Hole Weaponry 16" carbine melonited stainless steel barrel with parabolic rifleing
    • PWS SC556 flash hider/compensator
    • Adams Arms carbine piston kit
    • POF roller cam
    • Samson Evolution 7 Ext rail
    • Magpul RVG in Foliage Green
    • Bravo Company VLTOR Ambi charge handle
    • Vortex Spitfire 1x prismatic scope
    • Aero Precision Lower
    • ALG Defense Combat Trigger
    • KNS anti roll pins in FDE
    • Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard
    • Magpul BAD lever
    • Magpul MIAD grip in FDE
    • Spikes T2 Buffer
    • Magpul ACS stock in FDE
Samson rail, selector, bolt catch, mag release button, charge handle body Cerakoted FDE
Receivers, barrel, compensator, buffer tube, backplate, castle nut, charge handle latches Cerakoted Foliage Green

I plan to Cerakote the scopes Foliage Green as well.

These rifles are all business, if it's not needed it isn't there, so no lasers, flashlights, magnifiers, alternate optics, electric pasta forks, alarm clocks or swiss army knives. Total weight without scope is 7 lbs 5 oz.

I went with the Vortex Spitfire as my eyes have too much astigmatism as well as starburst artifacts from Lasik to use a red dot or holographic sight. The prismatic scopes, however are razor sharp to my eyes. Between the Leupold (I did want to keep my $$$ in the US) and the Spitfire, I much preferred the Spitfire reticle, which is a 3 moa dot surrounded by two rings that quickly lead the eye to the center.

    Gun porn follows:

Even from several yards the black scopes scream "Here! Here! I'm over Here!". Cerakote was expensive, but well worth it to me.

Well done - each has a clear philosophy of use and no extra bling to get in the way.

  11. Thank you. I am kind of a minimalist when it comes to my firearms. The less bells and whistles on it the less that can go wrong with it.

Finster Simplify, I'd say more but this says it all.

Very interesting concept, I can only assume that 30 rounds of 5.56mm isn't enough in this scenario and going to the relvolver is faster than mag swap? Still I like contingency planning and you got to grab it somewhere.

Reminds me of the 1913 sword and Colt 1911. The Colt fit in a holder on the sword guard.

    I'll find a pic.

I built this one recently - well, I built the complete lower, attached a complete upper. Just my first attempt at building anything AR and learned some good stuff just with the lower. Eventually I plan to build a complete upper as well. For now, here is #1.

Here is what makes up this build:

    * PSA Blemished Lower (no issues with mine, I know some folks have had trouble with them)
    * Defense Package LPK w/Ambi safety
    * Magpul STR Stock - FDE
    * Magpul MOE+ Grip - FDE
    * Tom's Tactical Buffer Tube Assembly
    * Alpha Shooting Sports .223 Wylde Upper with 16" fluted barrel and Keymod Rail in FDE
    * Magpul PMAG in FDE

Also, not in the photos is an added Vortex 3-9x40 with BDC reticle. Would still like to add a BAD lever or equivalent and a better charging handle.
