I ordered more panels yesterday since this is the last year for the 30% solar tax credit. I am thinking about adding more panels but only turning them on in low light conditions. My current setup produces 2500w in good conditions but when it is cloudy in the winter they may produce around 500w. I think I will add an auxiliary bank of panels and when the system is producing low power I will automatically turn on the auxiliary bank to give it a boost.

why wouldn't you run them all the time like the others? Just curious...

My batteries can only soak up 150A at a time and my two charge controllers can only handle 60A each. I am going to max out my current charge controllers with the new panels then have some auxiliary panels that will kick on in low light conditions.

Most charge controllers limit VOC to 150V.
The industrial versions can go to 600V but before you buy one you'd better hit the lottery.
