Back yard blooms

    Took some front yard pictures previously. Welcome to my back side. Wait! That did not come out right.

    Orchids are not yet in bloom. Here's what's in the ground and flowering.

    Another nice shot and don't take this the wrong way but the lack of depth of field is one of the reasons I don't care for digital photography. I never really liked automatic anything on cameras, and that was back in the '70's. Using a smaller F-stop and slower shutter speed would have brought the blossoms in the foreground into focus and made that shot so much better.

    (Not your "fault"; its the technology.)

    I can't wait for phone cameras to become DSLR quality. Just don't see myself lugging a big camera for targets of opportunity.
