Banana peppers, indoor, during a NY winter

    Wasn't sure that they'd pollinate, but it looks like the Q-tip swab "bee" trick still works! Didn't even have to push to get blossoms to pop out (sometimes have to kick a plant in the butt, with some "bloom" fertilizer). Two plants out in my living room....one with 3 peppers, one with 2, already. Just have to keep them watered, and I should have fresh banana peppers sometime in the future! (y)

    That's how i got a miniature lemon and orange tree to fruit in Michigan!

    These are sweet peppers. Some of the last of the seeds I bought, that combined two types of sweet banana peppers in one packet. One grew to pretty normal size (yellow banana peppers). The other one were HUGE! (red bull horn peppers). Problem is, you don't know which ones germinated, until the peppers ripen! :rolleyes:
    They're a Burpee seed packet, and I've had pretty good luck with germination. (y)

    We usually grow them for pepper sauce, although the hot banana peppers can get pretty warm.
