Or with its own charge controller just for that bank of cells and then parallel them

i dont have a working solar panel system. when i was playing with the crappy chyness panels they claimed 100 watts, 10 amps, 18 volts each. i got 18v and 4 amps out of 2 panels together. they refunded me rather then take them back.
i do remember even a small shadow on a solar panel drastically reduces the output. i dont remember the formula/ percentage. maybe check if trees have grown or alders, willows are casting shade on them at differant times of day if they have been there a while. its impressive how fast willow/alders shoot up and take over up here. take into account for the low winter sun also,,,,i dont know the formula for that either!

I took the car battery off
I took the car battery off the bank. I moved 2 of the L16’s yesterday when it wasn’t raining. I got a little bonk on the head…. Long story…. So today while it’s raining it’s heat water for dishes and work on the kitchen remodeling.

some other stuff thats easy to check. see if bruce has one of these laying around. its a load tester and easy to use,,but i would take off the plastic caps and attach it there. so one at a time disconnect a battery by removing pos and neg leads then attach the tester to the lead posts under the red and black caps. hold the toggle for 10 seconds and see if needle drops out of green zone. while the cables are off clean the terminals with sand paper or wire brush. the copper should be bright and clean. the battery should be fully charged before testing. do one at a time so cables dont get mixed up. if you dont have a tester try to borrow one, they are about 100$ cleaning the connections is a good idea even if you cant get a load tester.
