It only makes logical sense that women be obligated to undertake the same military compulsory service that males do. However, one in, all in. Tighten up on the exemptions more Romneyesque religious exemptions for missionary work to the poor benighted citizens of Bordeaux, or exemptions because pappa is a congressman, or mamma is a scion of the social elite with connections. Often, with selective service...wars are generally fought by the poor and unconnected, while the rich and powerful stay home, making and enjoying money and influence.

Edit: I'd go as far as to draft 20% of Federal policians to serve a tour of duty by rota, conducting their congressional and senatorial business in the combat zone that they are sending their troops to...or send their adult children as draft proxies. Perhaps then, politicians will be less sanguine in starting wars where they might also have to share the same risks as the men and women that they are sending into combat.

chelloveck are you wanting the rich & pampered to actually go to combat? Wow, wouldn't tat change the whole let's invade this or that country if the pampered had to go. As for women, I don't know why they would want to be on the front lines. I have no issue defending my country but I am realistic enough to know that I am not as strong as a man.

If nothing else, this might get rid of the ludicrous engagement rules always pushed by the leftist leaders. They won't be able to get away with endangering women by their silliness. It would be great if the politician's kids were first to fight also. Not gonna happen, but I'd love to see it.
