Between tai chi meals

LOL! that is a little too domesticated for me.

 

Today was a rueben and a dark butter salt chocolate cookie.





More importantly, it was a beautiful morning and afternoon

@Brokor, I respectfully disagree. While the reuben is quite good, the best sandwich ever for me was one I make from time to time. I use toasted French bread that I rub with garlic. Use a citrus aioli made with mayo, fresh lemon, lime and orange with some of my homemade seasoning mix. For the meat, I sear then smoke a pork tenderloin until the inside is just slightly pink (blushing as the Brits say). After a short rest, when it is sliced paper thin, juices just squirt out. A big pile of the thinly sliced pork completes the onolicious sandwich. When my friend first tasted it, he tried really hard to get me to open a restaurant selling said sandwich.

 

Gotta make one for @Bear some time.

Today, Mrs. Hanzo and the little monkey met me for lunch after I taught my classes. My teenaged monkey wanted to stay home.

Wifee and I shared those two dishes. Monkey had her first loco moco and liked it.

 

@Hanzo yikes that all looks delicious... but that loco moco looks especially good!... I know lots of folks don't like L&L (peasant food) but I love their loco moco and other fare... now I'm hungry Thanks for sharing!

 

"Peasant food" = comfort food!

 

LOL... @Hanzo .... never though you would even step foot in that place my Daughter won't go near them... but I like them... they even have a pretty darn good burger.... and... the Kaneohe one will double cook your krinkle fries... yum... nice and crunchy! reminds me of Rainbow Drive Inn... my favorite?.... Mix plate, extra mac salad and gravy over everything!

 

Sounds good! We gotta go grab lunch soon.

 

Yup... summer's been busy helping Daughter with summer school trig course, doing fun stuff with her and figuring out some epic fails on my spear project

 

You fail, therefore you succeed. Let me know whenever you are free.

We been little busy too. Have weekly movie nights, beach, ice skating, other outside stuff... Can't wait for our next camping trip in July. I may try and set up a summer dad only camp or other such outdoor thing. Maybe an ATV outing. You game?

 

Tuesdays are my heavy tai chi days. So I don't know why I had a heavy meal in between classes. Maybe just because it tastes good.



I was so thankful for the shade and breeze we had, that I paused to take a picture of the trees.





My students tell me that they are wiped out after they get home from practice. It is a good workout. When it's hot like it is during the summer, I make them take quite a few water breaks.
