I just finished this 13 inch blade Bowie a couple of days ago. The Damascus includes steel from his grandfathers 1949 Studabaker. The leather sheath has German Silver throat and tip. The color case hardened mountings on the Bowie has 24kt gold inlay. I butchered the engraving myself. There will be 3 matching hunters later. The point here that color case Hardening is easy to maintain and normally no glare which can be important. The sheath being wrapped is tough and protective for both you and the knife.
