I think that as well as the agenda 21 NWO crap was all in the works via the progressive socialist demo rat liberals. However as a Libertarian Constitutionalist, I think we have turned away from that course with the election of Trump. Time will tell, but we still need to keep the politicians feet to the fire as necessary.

Both sides of the same blade Chell, may not be quite all the way there, but damn close, DAMN close! It may be just a puppet show now, Trumps back is to the wall with State politicians thumbing their noses at him, if he does nothing to squash them right now, he will only ever be a failure as POTUS! These days started long ago, it's taken this long for the masters to build it up enough to tear it all down!!!

I think maybe. Like Claire Wolfe said, too late to do anything, too early to shoot them (but getting there!). God gave this country one more chance and if we blow it this time, then yes, we are in for a full blown revolution/civil war and it will make all the other wars the US (and probably world for that matter as the rest of the world joins in or falls apart, missiles start flying and everyone getting even) has been part of seem like a day at the park. If this country can get it's collective head out of it's ass, things will be rough for awhile, but if it doesn't, it will be the dark ages all over again.

The quote is from 1 Corinthians 7:23 1 Corinthians 7:23 Commentaries: You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men. but then, what does a damned atheist know?

It might help if you could, yourself, explain why the referenced bible quote is in any way relevant to the thread topic or its discussion.

The verse seem to be sayin' that God owns you, and redeems you (via his sacrificed son self), don't be payin' no attention to human masters an' bein' enslavin' yourselves to them: Instead, god is the dude to be a slave to.

Let's see if I can give a reasoned response...

Some suggest that we are already slaves here in the US... the deep state... an oligarchy... or somethin similar...

perhaps they are correct... many freedoms I remember as a child seem to be gone now... in part due to PC BS

and many things that were pretty much unacceptable seem to have become the norm... the violence in Chicago?

So IMHO in many ways we are going through a revolution of a sort...

IF there was a similar revolution like there was in Russia years ago...

thinkin we would for sure becomes slaves of man/state...

The DSA Democratic Socialists of America seems to be growing by leaps and bounds? (very NOT good IMHO LOOK CLOSE!)

just putting out there something that I'm thinkin our founders were aware of...

What does any of this have to do with some random quote taken from the Christian New Testament (i.e. 1 Corinthians 7:23 (or First Corinthians as that well known Christian, Donald Trump would say it))? You have merely shoehorned an anachronistic biblical quote, taken outside of it's cultural context of place, time and theology....and parachuted it into the conversation as if it has any relevance or significance at all to a 21st century moral panic about Amerikan Bolshevism. [banghead] Dan Brown couldn't have done better.

As are invisible unicorns that are just as perceptable, and highly relevent to the conversation.

As might be a counter revolution of the kind that brought the likes of authoritarian leaders such as Franco, Metaxis, Pinochet, The Argentinian Junta, Petain, Salazar, Horthy et al to power. Becoming a slave of man/state of a fascist regime is not any better than being a slave of man/state of a bolshevik regime. I suspect that the US is probably in greater danger of becoming an authoritarian right wing regime than a left wing one....it's not my fault if you lack the ability to see that connection. ;)

Hmmm... why do people always give this same silly argument...

the left wing and the right wing... communist, nazis, fascist yadda yadda yadda...

on the scale between pure control and pure anarchy all if the above are to the left of the ORIGINAL US Gov...

it was much closer to anarchy then any of the above...

it has SLOWLY progressed to the left over the years...

communism is far left nazism falls a little short to that... then comes fascism... etc...

so while you are possibly right that would only be because of the slow steady progress toward the left...

but if you leave it to the DSA we will be socialist/nazi's and skip over fascism...

    Thanx for the opening, OD.

A rather long time back, I took a history class from a German immigrant (George Mugge, you can look him up) that earned his PhD chops teaching under the Third Reich before getting to the US. In that class, we got a dose of comparative governments. We looked at democracies, republics, oligarchies, monarchies, Nazism, communism, socialism, fascism, anarchy, and other minor schemes of government. (Nazism, by the way, is extreme right in spite of its name, it has zero to do with socialism or leftist philosophy.)

Someplace around the web, you can find these different schemes laid out in linear fashion from far left to far right, and I’ll leave it at that. Anyway, you would think, maybe, that the two extremes are as different as night from day, but you would be wrong. Consider: If you take that line and bring the far ends together to form a circle, you’ll might see that those two extremes share a very common characteristic. Authoritarianism is it, folks. Absolute control is the feature of the future, IF WE LET IT, no matter which end of the spectrum is the approach.

Thus the question remains, which of the pushmepullyous are going to dominate our future? Right now, the left and right are butting heads attempting to exert some kind of control over all aspects of US life, foreign and domestic. Frankly, that does NOT bother me in the least, tho’ I admit it becomes tiresome. Wobbling around the midpoint of the spectrum is fine with me, IF it leads to sufficient compromise in squeezing lube into the gears of government. It is truly the constant quibbling over inconsequential details that drives me nutzoid.

Disagree? Take it up with your rev, priest, chicken entrails reader or fave garden rock, I don’t care and will not argue the point. Just keep your mitts out of my wallet. Thus spake me, and maybe me only.

I've also learned, like you have Ghrit, that government is a circle where the far right and far left meet. I am also a big fan of staying in the middle with enough grid lock that neither side can swing us one way or another very far!
