My old bones don't bend as well as they used to so picking up brass at the range has become a task that I really like to avoid. A few months back, I found a site that sells pecan picker-uppers (nutwizard.com) and bought an extra small one to try. It is a life saver. I pick up spent brass on dirt, buried in sugar sand, on concrete, and in mud (just swish them in a bucket of water). The only thing I find difficult is in tall grass but even that is manageable with a little technique. Anyone that spends time at the range will want one after they see yours. I also have a medium that does a bang-up job on shot shell hulls.
