Here is how to make a fish stringer in the bush first find a thin stick with a fork in it a bout 20 inches long and trim it up then cut the end thin then slide the end under the gills and out the mouth put the smallest fish at the bottom post-6475-0-13701700-1430618331_thumb. post-6475-0-24871200-1430618395_thumb. post-6475-0-64475700-1430618469_thumb. post-6475-0-51631300-1430618541_thumb. post-6475-0-65402900-1430618630.

Good idea....just make sure that the stringer is not a poisonous species. I don't think I'd be trying it with Oleander.

I have done that many times, especially when I was younger. Haven't used that method in a while. Good to see, its still alive and well.

Cheap, multiple uses including extra cordage, weighs next to nothin.
I always carry one with my cordage.

    Sticks SUCK.

I forgot about those we use to use them as kids. Thanks for the reminder!

That picture, and the "multiple uses" comment made me smile, remembering fish stringers like that being used as everything from a throttle cable on 440 Rupp powered go cart to a manual transmission kick-down actuator on some old Chevy the neighbor kid had.
