Yesterday was just an immediate family dinner for monkey's birthday. Tonight is a larger family dinner to celebrate monkey's and Popo's birthdays. My contributions are: Honey smoked salmon and citrus grilled and smoked ribs. Cut off some end pieces of salmon became fish rice for lunch. After I made monkey breakfasts, I got my citrus glaze ready for the ribs. Since we had pineapple, I threw some into the glaze too. The inside of the pineapple skin is pretty.
My word, that is just something. I am speechless, no way would I ever photograph what I slop together.
If I could cook like that I would brag, I would invite people over.... LOL! When I cook it looks like a bomb went off in the kitchen. Tonight it was chicken fajitas but what a mess.
The best chefs make the biggest messes! Might stick a hibiscus or orchid on the plate to hide the little bit I took to taste and share. My assistant monkey taste tester making sure the first batch if ribs is ok. Let's just say I hope there will be some left for dinner when the guests arrive. She really liked them.
