Buying gold, silver when to start?

I'd tell her that for 100 oz. of silver, we are good!

 

At costco last week

 

Roughly 3000 FRNs if that Costco is in Canada for the gold.

She said the other day , when she told me she bought it ,, that she didn't know what it was going for at todays market ,,,, and I told her ,, around 32 bucks an oz , I think she was a little surprised,, not sure if that surprise was plus or minus . I'll see what she says in a day or so ,,

 

I bought some Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars and some 1 oz. silver rounds from a woman at work. She had them for 20 years and didn't know what they were worth. I paid $42 each for the silver dollars and $52 for the rounds. I called the pawn shops in town, and most were paying a fair price (remember they have to make a profit), but one place was paying only $23 for silver dollars! Talk about being a crook! So, she got a fair price, and I paid about what I would have paid APMEX. She's a nice lady, I'm a nice guy, we work together, and she has some more silver that she might want to sell.

 

I'm at odds right now, thinking of selling off some silver. What is everyone's opinion?

Refiners aren't believing in the current run up at the moment. They are afraid of a pull back so they are actually offering LCS about 4 dollars back of spot ... so dealers are offering back of that .. at least locally. No one wants to pay 52 bucks an ounce only to wake up tomorrow and have it collapse to 45.
Maybe your coin shop will offer closer to spot. If they do and you want to capture some gains and have need to spend fiat .. I might do it.

This could either be the last time to get silver this cheap, the last time to sell it this high or this is the new regular spot price range.
I dunno.

 

I've read that the price of silver is up because of industrial demand, especially solar power, and I don't see that going down anytime soon. Forty-five years ago, silver momentary hit $50 per oz. and then went down. Now silver is again $50 per oz. and has been there for weeks. I don't claim to know what silver is going to do tomorrow, next week, next month or next year, but unless a solid silver meteorite crashes into the Earth, the price is never gonna see $30 per oz. again.

 

So I called my guy last night and he offered $47.25. I told him to call me at $50 and I will let half go. Not that I have a life changing amount, but most of it was bought at less that $10 and I always said I would sell at $50.

 

Well Gold and Silver shit the bed today.

 

Sorry guys. Totally my fault. If I hadn't decided to sell it would have kept going up.

 

Don't sweat it, I only bought 21 oz. and I'm never gonna sell it, because it's part of my preps.

 

If you don't need the coin , keep it , and stack more .
Ive been @ it since the 60's .
Still have most from back then (sold some to buy a house).
