I don't cut my tape apart to inspect , my last MB of AU & AG boxes ,I broke only one taped / secured wrap . I split some coin from the AG with other peppers..
Right now Im trying to build my stock of the crap I do .

Yeah, I only cut the straps on one just to look at them. First silver Krugerrands I've bought. A MB of AG would be the holy grail for me.....I've had to build about 1/2 box worth over the decades and it's all kinds of different stuff....eagles, krugerrands, maple leafs, etc.

The Romans! From the Latin Aurum or Au for gold, and Argentum or Ag for silver. When those chemists were drawing up the Periodic Table of Elements, those elements known to antiquity were given their Latin names.

Silver rings, but gold kinda goes THUNK! It hits the table top and sticks like glue.

I started out going with equal parts gold, silver, BTC, cash, guns, and land but prices change so much that I just do what I'm in the mood for now.

So i bought one as a tool for retirement , with all the extras , this will work well with the two woodmizers .

There are two rules to buying gold and silver: #1-The sooner you start the better. and #2-Buy as much as you can, as often as you can.!

The only guide you need is do not buy silver when it when the price is high.
I say buy once every year or 2 when the price is down.
If the price goes to a 3 year low, buy more. 5 year blow most of your cash. 10 year low blow a good portion of your savings. 20yr blow all savings. 30yr extend all credit as far as you can.
At around $24 an ounce I say hold. It's hanging around its 1yr high.

And there is always the dollar cost averaging technique.
Say buy 500 bucks quarterly. You get more ounces when the price is low. Fewer ounces when the price is high.
And hopefully, you sell when the price is above your dollar cost average.

Trying to catch the top of the top and the bottom of the low isn't always easy. Especially if you are say across the country and the stash is back home. By the time you get there you could have missed the top and it crashed due to an unforeseen black swan causing everyone to liquidate due to a margin call.

If I buy about $2,000 every year or so if the price is closer to $20 an ounce that math is easy, should be about to get around 80 to 85 ounces.
If I buy now at $24 it's more like 65 to 70 ounces.
I want those 10 to 20 more ounces.
The last significant buy I did I got 100 ounces delivered for $2,430ish.
Note, I don't keep that shit in my house, it's in in a safe deposit box.

There is a big difference between buying PMs for investment and buying for Survival, post SHTF. Of course you want to buy low but the potential return on your money is not your main concern. Having a barter currency and means to buy and trade in a cashless environment.

Both for me. I would rather have 100 ounces rather than 80 to 90 ounces either way.
