I have three .308 rifles. No case extractor at all. Rifles are; Remington 788 bolt action, H&K SL-7 (internals very similiar to G-3), and AR-10 by DPMS. Obviously as a prepper I should have proper tools for my MBR's ..... the autoloaders. I would like to have one good case extractor that will work on all if possible. Will gladly accept advice on needed tools for AR-10 platform or H&K Thanks in advance for any good suggestions.
Midway has a number of different extractors, not at all sure of the commonality between calibers or action types. I don't have one and never have wished I did, at least not yet. I saw one trick years ago to remove a stuck 300 H&H in a bolt gun, ice water down the barrel from the muzzle. Worked like a charm, but cleaning up the water was a bit less fun, we forgot to invert the piece on extraction. And the murph, being the kinda guy he is, laid in wait until the next round which separated the head.
