Coleman is adjusting to daylight savings time.

 

I've still got one who has eyes that reflect RED. She's 22 years old and blind now, but still kicking.

 

"Coleman. Are you sleepy?"

 

Had to take Mittens to the vet today. He has a sore paw. The vet said that Mittens had a sprain, gave him some meds for the pain and said to check back in a few days if it doesn't improve. I wasn't a good morning for me or Mittens, he had a sore paw, got stuffed into a pet carrier, went for a car ride, ended up at the vet's, got examined and treated by the vet, got stuffed back into the pet carrier, went for another car ride, and he still has a sore paw! I hope and pray that he has forgiven me!

 

Coleman has had a hair band as a toy that we've been enjoying for about a month. He throws it in the air, and I shoot it across the room like a rubber band and he brings it back like a dog. That fun all came to an end on Tuesday. I had a stretched out hair band and shot it out over his head in the morning. (My hair is elbow length, so I wear out a bunch of hair bands) Five minutes later I see him looking like he's eating something. Oh, Snap! Did he flip the hair band out of sight somewhere, or did he eat it? Next day he had a hairball. nothing came out, even after I gave him a kitty Heimlich maneuver.

Jump ahead to Thursday. I find the hair band in his poo, and a hair connecting that poo to another. That explains the hairball symptoms. He ate the hair band with a couple feet of hair attached to it. Makes me happy that I hadn't seen a hair sticking out of his mouth when he was hacking. I think the exit of the hair band was in the preferred direction. We had a long talk about what he could and couldn't have for toys going forward.

I'm happy that everything "came out alright." I love my little Coleman boy and would feel terrible if I did anything that hurt him.
