Senator Snowy was with us for most of the last twenty years. She was a fantastic cat and never stopped wanting to be held close. Blind and deaf at the end, she was still respected by the other cats as she found her way around by memory. She was twenty-two years old.

He's the defender of the home. A finely tuned killing machine.

 

Zippy was very happy to get some fresh air today and a break from his cone. One more week. He cleaned his poor shaved front legs and looked at me as if to say "Did you see what they did to my tail?"

 

Coleman and I have joined all the young women pushing strollers around the neighborhood. We went about 1.5 miles today. Met a toddler who'd never seen a cat before. Coleman had never seen a child before either.

He loves going for a ride.

Mittens and I had to go to Nashville yesterday, over 5 hours in his carrier does not make for a happy kitty. The local vet detected a heart mummer and wanted him to see a cardiologist, Total costs, including gas, about $1000, finding out that Mittens isn't gonna die anytime soon from heart failure, priceless!

 

Did you put the carrier up where Mittens could see out the window? We have several very high mileage travelling cats and they all calm down and shut up when they can see out a window. The only exceptions are the CH (wobbly) cats. They don't know which way is up most of the time anyway, so they just enjoy having room to move around in the back seat.
