No, I just set it in the passenger seat, although a few cardboard boxes would have raised it up some (would have been kinda wobbly).

 

Try it. They'll thank you for it. Sweetpea probably had a thousand miles riding back and forth to Burlington. He loved to look out the windows. He was polydactyl with 27 claws and no teeth, so he was only allowed to wander around outside his box if there were two people in the car.

He was a long haired upholstery shredder.
