Has anyone used one of these chainsaw mill's to mill lumber from timber? I have some tree's cut to mill for lumber and have shopped the five or so people in the area that have portable saw mills and they are looking to get about forty dollars an hour to mill the logs.. I need a shop!

I've always thought they could be a valuable alternative to finding someone with a portable mill to process timber, but never got one. I've seen folks using them on TV, one of the Building Alaska shows. Don't even know which one would be best....

The question is: Is your time worth more than $40US an hour, to use a far more inferior setup, to get you lumber? ChainSaw Mills work, but a WoodMizer works so much better and faster....

Guy near my hunting property mills every stick of lumber he needs. In fact, when I had a locust tree down across my road and no tools with me, I asked him for help, which he gave gladly. The only payment he would take, was the log removed.
