I file at least 2 every year, more than 2 and they can ask for the reason.
    CPA can handle the 3rd.

Just paper work and nobody cares as long as you paper/pay up.

What would it take to convince enough people to just check out and quit participating
Give me 1.5 to 2 years and I will be ready. The problem is that no one would miss us. We are not vital to this country, we are the worker bees. I have often said that we are the backbone of the country, without us it doesn't hold up. In order for the government to realize that the people basically walked out on being a normal American ( normal American= means working from 16 to 70 and always one major illness away from losing it all) It would have to be large amount of people, million that just said I am done. I think in order to make an impact it would have to follow along the "free state" theory. Allegedly New Hampshire was the selected state but that did not work. A state of people with the same goals and enough space to create their own small country of sorts.

Let's say Wyoming because that should have been selected as the free state. People move in, all like minded people. You get your homes/living settled and start working. The like minded people take over the state government and the government works on becoming self reliant. Solar, wind farms, and ways to create energy. Health care facilities work to serve the citizens and there is a state health plan, leave out the major insurance firms. It would have to be a slow resettlement and all aspects need to be covered but the government is not going to like a rogue state. Once the government sees a state of people that are dependent on each other and not on them it will not go well. If the state declares the barter system is acceptable pay, how can the government tax it? Wyoming is big enough to raise livestock, crops. It is big enough that the government would be stretched thin to surround it.

That is all I can come up with so far. Have to read the other two pages.

I believe in strategic risk but I do not believe in sticking you head out just to be defiant. Society works (sort of) because we have rules that we all obey, when you want a different set of rules you work within the system or stick your neck out and get it chopped off... see Waco, See the Utah Rancher standoff. all are dead

Timing is as important as being a risk ataker

There are those the no longer want us to be part of their society. And it seems, if one listens to the mass news programs, that we are becoming the outcast of society.

Was told that eastern Washington's move to break away from western Washington is picking up it's pace. Many of those that live east of the cascades are tired of sending tax dollars to Olympia only to be used for some socialist project west of the Cascades.

It has been tried before and it is a long shot, however those folks are truly fed up..

Who here would not want to live in the new state called Liberty.

The problems I see with Wyoming are no sea ports, and I'm not sure what fossil fuel resources are there.

Oil is still there, at least there were stripper wells all over some parts of the landscape. LOTS of coal as well.

WY does have a free state project. It's ongoing though it seems to be about as ineffectual as the Hew Hampshire effort. Not enough people truly understand what self ownership entails. When they do finally become aware, I think they realize the futility in using the state system to restore liberty. The state is the antithesis of liberty. How is it possible to use the opposite of a thing to achieve the other? How about an analogy? How do you achieve light with darkness? Or the inverse? You simply can't.

I see the utility in the basic idea, but how many people are willing to pledge their future to such an endeavor? Far too few it seems. It's a baby step that may or may not lead to another and another.

I was born and raised in north-central WY. I'm less than 70 miles north of that border now. I'm more tempted every year to move back. But I won't be participating in the sham that is state/county/township politics any more there than I am here. Politics and godvermnet are tools used to take from and control one's neighbor and I won't be a party to that.
