I want to make my own but I keep hesitating because I don't quite understand how to make it. While melbo's instructions may seem obvious something is missing ... you just put the silver in an insert electrodes?

Yes I agree kellory. It's why I haven't done it I done understand the process or the results needed

It's a very simple process, you will just have to tool around a bit because it's not an exact science. People have been making colloidals since before penicillin. And, don't believe every safety Sally out there who tells you to be careful because it's "so dangerous" -these people are still plugged into the Matrix and will probably die miserable and just as ignorant as they are now. The worst that can happen, if you are ridiculously careless, is turn your skin blue (argyria). To make this happen, you would need to chug large quantities of pretty strong CS or bathe in it long enough to become a Smurf. It really amazes me how we live in a country where hundreds of thousands of people die every year from automobile accidents, but a safety Sally type will switch over to warning mode and caution you about the dangers of colloidal silver -which has zero known fatalities. Do your own research.

I believe we experimented and described the process well enough in this thread, but if you still have a question, please feel free to ask for specifics. The best way to learn is to do it -get your hands dirty, so to speak. Use a TDS meter and always test your work.

For those of you that would like to make your own colloidal silver there is all kinds of information about how to make it and the proper way to use it in this forum: Colloidal Gold and Silver Forum - Index check it out its amazing the amount of information.

I have been making and using CS for years and even made kits and instructional sheets for my family. My kids all know how effective and valuable it is.
Any lite DC voltage will work ,some theorize that the liter the voltage the finer the break down of silver but it's not worth the argument.
I use 12 volts because the house is wired 6 and 12 volts for my lighting an other things.
the kits I made for family, and my EDC bag, use a small 6 volt solar panel and 2, 1/10 oz pure silver coin.
Any distilled water and sunlight and it will make CS .

I made these for my family, 6 volt project solar panel from radio shack, alligator clips and 2 silver 1/10 oz bullion. It doesn't take a lot of voltage to perform , some folk use 3 volts the idea being that it possibly makes smaller particles, but I don't think it makes any difference.
I have been buying distilled water from the grocery store and it works just fine , however in emergency you could use rain water or the condensed water from your air conditioning, just filter the lint out of it after you've made the CS. You won't loose the silver it is too small.
A glass of distilled water. any reasonable size.
Any light source is enough to work the solar panel enough. Obviously, do not emerge the alligator clips.
And watch the silver leave the positive side and drift to the bottom and it will build up like a cloud .
I wait till it's about half way in the vessel and call it done . Usually an hour is enough. Over doing it doesn't make it any better.
Average test done this way, shows to be about 40 PPM which is fine .
I clean the silver pieces with scotch bright .
Store in any bottles you got "not metal" just so your not disturbing the electrical charge.
Some folk use colored glass ,however it's not that kind of silver to worry about.
I found some i had given my dad 10 years before and it works just fine.

I have heard of colloidal gold but ,what's the difference ?

Nothing, except you use pure gold instead of pure silver. :)

If you mean "what's the difference in use?" then, read up a bit if you like. I use gold to assist with circulatory function and to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Colloidal silver is more for anti-microbial purposes.

@Brokor I think I have all that I need. Ready to start making my own.

I can just put the batteries together like this and go from there.... right?

I don't recommend DC current setups and will not give pointers on how to use batteries since they are not reliable like AC. One reason I strayed away from doing it is because if the juice runs out partway through a batch, you wouldn't know until you checked on it. It's fine for an emergency or bug out (last ditch effort) way of making colloidal. The time it takes to make a batch is extended with DC and I cannot count on the efficacy of the colloidal, either. Therefore, if you are looking for assistance here, you're wasting your time with me. ;)

    Energy consumption is nominal.
That set up with 3- 9 volts=27 volts,, would last years, test it with a volt meter and see how much loss there is as you use it. that's why the solar panel woks so well, it's a nominal voltage that creates the action.
    Some folk make it with as little as 3 volts ,, yes 3 volts DC and it works just fine;
I use 12 volts because its convenient for me , the house is wired 12 volts dc..

That is why I considered this method. I try to break things down to the simplest, things on hand method. In a societal breakdown, one could scavenge 9 Volt batteries from old smoke detector and things. If one doesn't have gadgets available but needs colloidal silver, there is a method out there.

This thread has been running for a long time; and there are several different mentions of using silver currency as, at least, one of the two processing electrodes. My advice?

DO NOT USE SILVER COINS TO MANUFACTURE YOUR HOME-BREWED SILVER COLLOID SUSPENSION.

Commercial silver currency is an amalgam of silver and OTHER METALS. Yes, it's true that the silver content of commercial currency is .9999%; however, there ARE other metals present in the coin. Metals that you might NOT want to put in your body.

Use .9999% silver bullion bars if you want to, but NOT coins! I agree that batteries are best used as an expedient power source. Here's a reliable vendor of various manufacturing components:

Generator Components to Make Small-Particle, 'Colloidal*' Silver at Home

I have used the coins. What do you think the other metals are? We use colloidal silver all the time. @Lone Gunman what about making silver from the coins and using it externally only?

In a perfect world, coins are 90% silver and 10% copper straight out of the mint. In fact, there will be other metals, at least in trace quantities, including lead and antimony, plus others that will vary all over the map depending on the sources of either of the two majors. I suspect, but do not know, that there is not a lot of health risk in using coins, unless somehow a bad batch gets into your colloid generator. I also suspect, but do not know, that if you stick to US coins, the risk of contaminated coinage will be lower. I have no idea if copper will mess you up or not, but there it is.
