Well...perhaps they should exit....they seem rather expensive and impractical for the sake of some wanky battle bling.

Not sure how Cow leather'd hold up to FOB abuse.....

    And....
Are American manufacturers incapable of making that kind of crap?? Ah well, MAGA by buying imported sweat labour products. ;)

I learned how to make moccasins hitop ones, making sandals is easy I don't like them as they allow stones in and have tripped from sticks in the straps. in my area knee high is best, bull nettle thorny vines like dewberries poison ivy oak & sumac now we have fire ants the boot cabe treated with cedar oil lemon or lime oil or anything that repels fleas ticks mosquitoes.Japanese wood sandals wold be better I wear Crocs and hve had thorns and stobs go through them.

My original Teva's, long before everyone and his brother began making sandals, were the best I ever had - and didn't cost what the "combat flip-flops" above, cost today.

I also saw a pair for $39.99 US, "Made in Laos". Heck, I could go across to Laos for less than $40.00, and probably buy all the pairs I wanted, for $3.00 US each. Crazy money, man. Crazy money.

Those are really cute sandals but they are really not combat footwear. I do like the color but not worth the $ IMO.

When I was still in school, we calledl those Huaraches. Worn in Mexico and by surfer Dudes.

Later, called Ho Chi Minh sandals, they were popular for a bit.

I hope to never find myself in a place where these are the only choice in footwear....

Probably not far off. Here, laborers can be hired at $5.00 US / day.

We pay our workers double, or more than, the typical rate. But, we also expect hard work and loyalty. If we don't get it, they see the unemployment line. (Sometimes, employees confuse generosity with stupidity. So, they try to push the envelope to see how little they can get by doing, abusing such generosity. They quickly learn that we aren't as dumb as I may look.)
