Anyone have any experience with it? Comcast switched their free AV to Norton and I've heard more than enough bad things about it to try and use it.....unless someone here can change my mind....I'll listen to anything anyone has to say...I'm totally clueless about the best AV/firewall/spam zapper...... A friend who is an IT geek mentioned comodo and says it's a great free one, and he uses it at home.....I know we have quite a few folks here that know about a gazillion times more than I do about this stuff, and need some advice before putting something new on here.....(like how to get completely rid of McAfee too....aye carumba!) Thanks for any input y'all!
I run MS Security Essentials on my computer and have no complaints. It runs quietly in the background, takes up a lot less room than most other programs and is free from Microsoft. I tried it after picking up some malware that ran despite any of my best efforts to kill it with other programs, even in safe mode.
Comodo Firewall is excellent firewall software. Using it for 4 years at office PC (Comodo is free for non commercial usage) - defence never was broken. It's free and powerful. Download and enjoy! I'm using Linux Slackware 13 at home, so there is no problems at all.
