I already knew about this from JJ Luna's site. We own a shopping center that has a Kinko's in it and 4 years ago the manager said the FBI was in analyzing one of their digital color copiers because someone had made counterfeit $20 on it. He said each printer had an identifiy signature that would tell the FBI or a user which machine it was made with. No tinfoil necessary on this one. Its true.
http://www.howtobeinvisible.com/ FYI on this: Michael NE 22 & also Evan CA 32: [10-20] There is a pixel code embedded into every document a laser printer prints. The code identifies the printer, date, and time it was printed. The article can be found here: http://www.betanews.com/article/EFF_Your_Printer_is_Watching_You/1129663002 - - - This information has been around for quite awhile. It applies ONLY to color lasers, not black and white.
Don't take the hat off just yet, counterfeiting is supposed to be the domain of the Secret Service, not the FBI....wonder what was REALLY printed on that machine. Who would walk into a Kinko's to copy a $20?
An idiot who go caught because they also have video cameras. It was the SS (Secret Service not to be confused with the nazi SS....or maybe?)
