Here is a video from Court TV that I had not seen.
He's lucky he got as far as he did.
I cant believe how many officers went out and got shot.
Any word on the amount of alive ?
This actually happened a year ago last Feb. Ask Melbo, I took him to see the bullet marks on the walls of the courthouse. The dead were the shooter David Arroyo, his ex-wife Isabelle Rodriguez (she was a line worker in one of my plants) and Mark Alan Wilson just a citizen with a CHL that came rushing to the rescue. Thanks to him the shooter's son David Arroyo Jr. wasn't killed, but he was hit in the legs several times and underwent numerous surgeries. The first LEO out the door in the tape was deputy sheriff Sherman Dolison. He was nearly killed and took numerous shots in the torso, hip, and legs from Arroyo's MAK 90. One of the LEO's that was there was a SWAT DR. and he started working on him before they even got him to the hospital. He got out of the hospital around the end of last year, but I don't believe he has been able to return to even light duty yet. He went through a lot of surgeries and I doubt that he will ever be 100%. There were also two or three other LEOs that were hit, but they were just grazed, and most just by schrapnel and were treated and released. Arroyo was a pretty good distance away from the courthouse doors, and the LEOs and Mark Wilson hit him numerous times. He was wearing two layers of armor, a vest and a flak jacket. Wilson hit him in the chest (but the bullets didn't penetrate) and hit him in the groin. After he hit him in the groin Arroyo shot him, then walked over and executed him with a shot to the head point blank. On a side note, I was two blocks away when this happened, on my way right through there.
"...ended by a fatal shot to the back of the head." Wow. Arroyo went limp fast.
He sure did. I wonder if Arroyo was born here?
