At least they're not pulling this off in my end of town, although one of the protests are in the city where I live. If it looks like things are going to spread (doubtful, it would have to spread 8 miles or so) my SUV is gassed up and stocked with emergency food and water, plenty enough to get to the BOL where my wife and I can sit it out. I Imagine the 108 degree heat will also help keep the numbers of participants, and their energy levels, down.
The nearest to Alaskachick & I is in Seattle, WA 600 Miles South.... I am going to watch it all happen on CNN, then hit the OFF Button, and take a walk Outside for 20 Minutes, and it will ALL fade into the evening.... A BIG Reason We Live where we do....

I hear that there will be a Job Fair set up in Jackson Square on the same day so that the protester's can also apply for a job. Wonder how that will turn out?
I am reading now that this is the repeat of a hoax from a few years ago. Even if its a hoax, there is the potential that the rioters won't know that. I suggest any monkeys swinging the trees in or near a large city err on the side of caution.
