Like Britney Spears I did it again, got another High Standard 22 revolver! This one is the Double Nine. Externally it resembles a Colt 1873, but has a swing out cylinder and is double action. Mechanically the same as my R 101. Should be a great little shooter.
Well! I could have used that last night to take that Bobcat out of the tree... The son's have the 22's and have left me without.. good on you for getting another one.. Just watch those youngsters, they may try and make off with them..
I have my late Father's High Standard Doublenine, bought the year I was born - 1957. Still looks and shoots good.
I still have my favorite little .22 pistol, a Ruger Single Six with 6 inch barrel, and extra magnum cylinder! I actually need to get two more, one to keep " Converted" and one for the wife! Hadn't had a chance to play with a High standard yet, may have to have a look see! Do they convert over to Magnum?
