I assume I have the right discussion thread since I didn't see a category on vehicles. Anyone else have experience with these, or know someone who has had? They were used on the 2011-2022 Ford 6.7L diesel, 2011 to 2016 Duramax LML, 2020 - 2023 (not sure of the years on these) RAM pickups with the 6.7 Cummins, still used on Nissan Cummins 5.0L in the Titan pickups. I have a 2019 Ford 6.7L with 39K miles equipped with this pump. Been doing some on-line rubbernecking on the subject. I've had no issues to date. Was wondering if anyone else had additional information.

It is known for high-pressure output but is prone to catastrophic failure due to roller lifter wear, which can contaminate the entire fuel system. Key Details of the Bosch CP4.2: Design: Radial piston pump with two high-pressure plungers. Applications: Primarily 2011–2019+ Ford 6.7L Power Stroke and 2011–2016 LML Duramax. Failure Mechanism: The cam-to-roller interface can seize, causing metal debris to contaminate injectors and the fuel tank. Preventive Measures: Use of a bypass kit (like the S&S Diesel Motorsport Gen2.1) or an improved pump with a finer screen, such as the Exergy Performance pump, increases protection against debris. Performance: Capable of supporting 650+ horsepower in upgraded forms. human content replacement price $1,500 to $1,900 plus plus [ prices may vary ] installin a filter or screen would be a gud idea or a bypass kit fer $2,400 aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake 20-23 Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel - DPP google S&S Diesel Motorsport CP4 To DCR Pump Conversion 11-24 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke [ gen 2.1 ] if da linky dont werk
