This should be standard gear even if you DO NOT drive through a ghetto, IMO. I have a car holster, and am armed at ALL times. Castle Law rules.

I used one of the black hawk serpico I took the back off and drilled holes under the dash. Then used screws with the factory threaded holts in the hoster. Works very well. It is secure and always at the ready.

Drive through? Nope I live in the ghetto.
Aside from the possibility of being caught in a crossfire or being randomly attacked I feel safer than I would living in an area where people have stuff worth taking.

If you run into a trouble driving in the city........DO NOT STOP TO SHOOT....PUT BOTH HANDS TIGHTLY ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND MASH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR DO NOT LET OFF THE GAS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

I used to keep a little Dilinger 2 shot in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat, easy to get to if your at a stop light or a passenger were to get out of control.

OK guys....we're getting off the point a little. I just used the "ghetto" line for colorful humor. I did not intend for this piece of gear to only be for people living in the ghetto...because people who live in the ghetto frequently travel outside of the ghetto in groups, in which case, you're de facto in the ghetto.

This just looks like a cool product. My gun is usually in the space between my seat and console and I've always thought the best place for it would be attached to the front of my seat in a holster. This is the next best thing (IMO).

Seriously alot of places in the inner city are already post SHITF. A under the steering column holster with pistol will last 2 minutes in a parking lot, although it might keep your car from being stolen.

I don't know about you guys, but my gun is on me out of the car. I just can't get to it very well in the car...so, somewhere between my legs is the most accessible place other than having on a shoulder holster.

Well a accidental discharge and your manhood is gone. Center counsoul is good, the eaisest place is behind the passengers seat, although most cars dont have a pocket there anymore.
All I can say is if your gonna carry ceep it out of sight , a conceiled weapon can turn a defensive situation into a agressive situation and save your live buy the element of suprise.

I seen in a ad one time a holster that was designed to attach to the front of your car seat. They company would do it to match your seat color it also had a flap to cover the weapon. Im not sure but I think it was called the seat caddie or the seat buddy. The same company did the visors for inside your vehicle. You know the ones that add storage over head they had one of those that held a rifle or had a place with a holster. The visor mounted where your sun visor mounts. Very nice set ups.

All I gotta say, in Texas, you try to carjack someone, you are taking your life in your own hands. CHL not required to keep a fully loaded handgun in your car. Under Castle Law, the vehicle is an extension of your personal home/property and can be defended with lethal force, LEGALLY.

I think I'm going to have to quit assuming people can read between the lines: "between my legs" in the context of the previous posts meant attached to the front part of my seat between my legs. I don't do gangster either...;)
