Trump is a narcissist along with every politician ever elected. He simply doesn't try to hide it. I'm up front that I don't like his personality or his constant trolling, but I do favor his policies. They flat out worked, and when Biden abandoned them the US quickly fell to shit.

The way I see Trump is like this: When I was a kid we had a septic tank and a large family. Combining that with heavy clay soil meant that periodically we needed to get the septic tank pumped, so basically a shitty job. The guy that came to pump it was rude and crude and not exactly someone most of us would invite to tea. But, he did good work and was always on time. Trump reminds me a lot of him.

 

Trump did good work for free- took no presidential salary. It is reported (not verified) the pension he receives he donates.

 

I would assume like all good Presidents/Politicians he made his cut on the side. I think he is a tool however his policies were certainly better economically than the current moron in charge. "Trump" the brand is too damaged (by both the system and his own ineptitude/hubris) to take power effectively again. Of the current crop Desantis would seem your best hope for 2024.

 

This is the US, we will get the president we deserve. Granted, not the one we want but what we deserve.
A few more cycles and we will be electing a someone just because we don't want to offend them or their supporters.

 

I voted for The Donald twice, and will do so again if he runs. I don't think the Groady Old Party will allow him. I'd love to see my Governor DeSantis run, and would vote for him.
Do I like Trump personally? Nope. He's a greedy rich barstage with zero sense of tact, a loose cannon when behind a mike or keyboard. But I do believe he had a much greater sense of wanting to do right for Amerika than that grinning mentally-deficient senile doofus soiling the Big Chair in the Oval Office now. I don't think he'd be giving away billions of our FRNs to that crossdressing faggot tyrant in Ukraine. He'd have put a leesh on the rabid dog Putin.
We seriously need a huge change in leadership right now.

 

President Trump still has my vote for whatever my vote matters now. We've had the house, the senate, and the oval office together at times and just keep giving it away. Until rinos hang and we start playing by the same rules as the left we can just buy tickets to the next Nero concert. But I just don't see voting as a path out of this any longer and the way things are going we are on the cusp of losing any other way of getting back the republic our founders gave us. Oh well, wonder what I should wear to a Nero concert. Well I ain't riding in any boxcar and they would probably make me pay for my own ticket anyway.

 

The Democrats will convict Trump under the provisions of the 14th Amendment that prevented Confederates from voting or holding office. This will prevent Trump from running again, will piss-off his supporters, and opening the way for DeSantis to be elected. President DeSantis will pardon President Trump and the Democrats will melt-down like snowflakes on the 4th of July! Trump may have been born a Yankee, but he has the makings of a Reb!

 

My only real gripe about Trump was his staunch pushing of the Killer Jab.

Trump needs to admit he was deceived about the vax. People will understand because he is not a scientist. He needs to admit it!
