Prime Minister Vladamir Putin has said the US should take a lesson from the pages of Russian history and not exercise “excessive intervention in economic activity and blind faith in the state’s omnipotence”.
“In the 20th century, the Soviet Union made the state’s role absolute,” Putin said during a speech at the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
“In the long run, this made the Soviet economy totally uncompetitive. This lesson cost us dearly. I am sure nobody wants to see it repeated.”
Putin also cautioned the US against using military Keynesianism to lift its economy out of recession, saying, “in the longer run, militarization won’t solve the problem but will rather quell it temporarily.
What it will do is squeeze huge financial and other resources from the economy instead of finding better and wiser uses for them.” Putin’s comments come in sharp contrast to Russia’s own military buildup and expansion. More Words of Caution . . .

Well. What to say? He is more than a little right with those words, in spite of the actions of the duma contrary to it.

    Strange isn't it?
The Russians also warned us about they are offering their help!
As I recall. that old fart: Fidel Castro, tried to warn us about NOT making the mistake of trying to use our corn/food supply, to make ethanol as it was a falsehood, and people would start to starve...and the ethanol wasn't worth what those that touted it said it was....
Prohetic words yet again, and from a communist!
Strange how so many knew and yet our ignorant politicans fell into the pit, dragging all of us along for the ride!

But.... but..... the Messiah knows all, and will fix everything! Honest! He told us so himself..... [dunno]

Yep, the current admin wants no advice from other nations, even when they are right.

They are offering help in afghanistan for 2 reasons. 1 to get back at the afghans for beating them and 2 to have us by the balls, i.e. you wanna send supplies then you have to dismantle the czech radar installation.

As it seems to be going, afghanistan will be the most powerful country in the history of the world. LOL It beat Russia and appears to be beating the US. Just think of the mess we'd have if Russia or China was giving them more advanced weapons as we did against Russia.
