By using a storage tank, the well guys call it a cistern, you save your submersible pump by allowing it to pump longer, and you can adjust the start stop levels in your storage tank to pump as much as you can at one time with out pumping your well dry. When my well was drilled, the driller pulled out after drilling to 120' casing to 100', 18 GPM, ... except for some reason in October it drops way down to like less than 4 GPM or less...

UPDATE: Was attempting to have the well water tested (after drilled of course) through a local company in Phnom Penh. Come to find out, they no longer do their own testing, which was dirt cheap, by the way. They now refer all testing to a new company, that charges well over $100 to almost $300 USD, per test. Went back to the drawing board and decided to go with the eBay tests:

4 general well water tests for a bit over $100 USD. 5 Arsenic tests for well water, shipped for another $50 USD, total.
