I'd suggest keeping the toggle switch as a safety, adding a two position toggle switch, normally open spring return to open as the trigger in series with safety toggle. .. All in all I wish I'd thought of that.
Marv's scheme of toggle switch is good, and it will also conserve air.. If you get creative, interrupted thread barrel(s) would make for faster reloading, line up several barrels with darts in them.
Years back I thought of making one with a big spring. Like a pellet rifle. Then I saw that someone already was selling one! Sorry, I can't remember the maker's name.
