Elk hunting

Is this like a bit-coin, You never ever really see it in person?

 

Nice hunting boots. I'm joking, I wear tennis shoes when hunting big game since they are much quieter then boots.

 

Seen a bull yesterday but it was too far

 

Don't know how much time you have left out there ,, but I hope you're able to bag yourself a trophy ..
It sure does look peaceful out there .

I am tired I have humped ever mountain out here 4times a day but I will stick with it a cow or a bull will walk into my kill zone and I will do what I do best then The real work starts

I brought my sling shot and small game points and they my get on the menu.

 

From someone I know that gets an elk bow hunting almost every year, but hunts the same area every year for years. He also uses tree stands. Find a puddle that has muddy water and if there is elk sign on it set up a stand there. He says elk like water that has a little taste to it.

The elk I have shot were close to road crossings since I live in their territory and know where they cross. Being able to get a trailer close to them for the ride home is a nice thing.

 

Good looking place to hunt around that pond. The underbrush didn't seem to be to thick. Looked everybody that walked thru there had to carve on a tree . And , I'll say , I think your enjoying yourself , because it looked like you almost had a smile on your face.

 

We found the elks they were at about 11,000 feet 8 miles from camp had a cow and bull with in 23 yards past on the shots due to it would have taken me 3 days to get it
