    Met a vendor yesterday and have two coming, I am going to use these while on my raft trips this summer, I will write a review.
    the tip removes and locks on the handle and can't be broken very easy in transit.

    I have an emrod..... worst investment I ever made.

    It isn't long enough to cast any considerable distance. The reel that came with sucks (I actually tossed in the river).

    The only thing it is good for is packing through rough vegetation.... you can't break it.

    I would much rather have a pocket fishing kit and a telescoping pole IMHO. The pocket fishing kit doesn't take the effort and a telescoping pole will actually allow you to cast with some efficiency and distance.
