Just wondering if anyone has discussions on any liberal leaning forums.

Theres one I am on, and talking politics is horrible.

It's all tea party ruining the country, republicans bad,
Your a racist if you don't approve of Obama. Ect..

Theses no debating and if you do your facts are wrong, or your not
I am not a member of any party, but I am amazed.

    I listen to NPR.

. . and spend a lot of my time hollering at the radio. So we pretty much accomplish the same thing - you and I. ;)

I learned a long time ago that there are two things that will light some folks off on a tirade.

    Religion and Politics.

Opposing points of view seem to get pretty heated. Someone is going away mad. Sometimes both.

Just sayin' My religion is better than your religion or my party is looking out for the best interest of the american sheeple is itchin' for a fight.

    It sounds very much like

A Mirror image of this forum, except that the demons are all on the opposite end of the political spectrum. Go figure....

I suspect very few people know how to debate effectively...regardless of the political tinge of the forum. Framing propositions clearly....providing evidence to support propositions....avoiding fallacies of reasoning....evaluating the worth of referenced sources...acknowledging the valid aguments by one's opponents....etc etc etc. All too hard...or apparently unneccesary it would seem.

The apogee of debate more often than not is to copy and paste onto this forum, some unsourced opinion piece, without fact checking that the attributed original author actually exists or that the content of the copy and pasted article is factually correct. It pretty much all goes downhill from there, sadly.

I post at some of the news sites. I remind the liberals of what 0bama said in the past which seems to upset them for some reason..

    It passes the time.. lol

Liberals really get upset when one quotes them. Or ask if Libya was an example of 0bama's leadership.

Or remind them of 0bama's speech in 2006 LOL

This statement says it all. The most aggravating thing about trying to discuss anything at all on the PC lib-leaning sites is that they all are crowing so loudly about how 'educated' they are, sociology degrees, communications degrees (that's especially a joke!), homosexual studies, and a slew of other worthless sheepskins, that they won't pause to ever realize how fallible they are in their arguments and beliefs. Its like they are arguing in favor of a religion instead of a political mindset. Logic is cast aside in favor of 'feelings' and 'beliefs', just about all of them naive and worthy only of the wimpiest ninnys. For the most part they have zero patience in anything with a hint of conservative (or non-lib) odor at all. I learned about a year and a half ago to just cruise the other sites and look over their continuing stupidity rather than try to waste breath in convincing them to reason. I still watch just to keep the pulse of the world at large, but as for talking to them, nope!

As liberals aren't tolerant and ban disagreement from their forums. So one can't have a discussion with them, a debate just isn't possible.

Because they are "academically" superior; I ask questions. As it pointedly excludes our children is the Dream Act discriminatory?

Here, drink the coolaid! We, as mostly conservative, are at least as bad or worse. Hell, we even try to pretend that Bush lite was doing a good job and he did more damage to our Republic with his 'Patriot Act" than Adolph Hitler did with WWll. Those "miss me yet" posters really piss me off. Obama got elected because of the damage Bush lite did with his private vendetta. We think the GOP is our friend because they let us have guns...hell, they make guns and we are a part of their market share. If we break the rules and cause problems...poooof! they use the Patriot Act to make us disappear.
How many wrong things can you do with a fiat dollar? its all imaginary anyway so really, the only argument is about the degree of indentured servitude imposed on us. Let them run with it, the damage is already done and we can't start rebuilding until the walls fall down and the rubble is pushed out of the way. JMHO.

I have had done with BOTH major Parties - two sides of the same tarnished coin.... uh..... plug nickel!
I am still 'Conservative', as I see that as a 'life philosophy', not a political view. Same with Liberalism... the diametric opposite of Conservatism. But their respective 'politics' are chillingly similar.
You want a web site that will fry your brain with their inane stupidity and mindless ravings, their total lack of accepting ANY other viewpoint, the vitriolic mind-numbing hatred of Americans in general and Conservatives in particular - try the drug-dazed tooothless wanckers on "Urban75" forum, based in Olde England. I am "Baskerville" over there, and enjoy working them into a foaming frenzy every so often. I remain truly surprised they haven't banned me yet. Maybe in a weird way, they like being poked now and again.......

The two party system of politics is just a diversion to keep our focus off the slight of hand that pulls the rabbit out of the hat.

Hmmm....Baskerville seems very much like chelloveck....the question is...is chelloveck Baskerville's doppleganger...or is Baskerville, chelloveck's doppleganger??? Thinking persons with MPD ( multiple personality disorder or dissociative identity disorder - The Skeptic's Dictionary - Skepdic.com ) need to know!

I'm not quite sure that there is all that much productive discussion to be had with some conservatives: The only thing/s that will convert them is death and/or the discovery that their god ain't real. ;)
