It saddens me that a man Lutheran pastor apologizes for taking part in Sandy Hook service - U.S. News who who showed humanity and compassion to the Newtown community, by participating in an ecumenical service to lighten the grief of that community, should have to grovel and apologise to....a man who seems to be more interested in his piously pharisaic interpretation of the Bible and Lutheran Church policy...than supporting a Lutheran Church pastor in the pastoral care of his community. About the President - The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod I think that if anything, the president of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod owes the pastor of Newtown's Christ the King Lutheran Church the apology...The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod president may be an outstanding Lutheran, but as a Christian, he seems to leave a lot to be desired. The Rev Matthew Harrison has authored a book called.... Methinks Harrison needs to read his own book...if it won't choke him on the irony.
