Post pics of your FAL........so we can see what kind of style FAL owners like...............
You had to know that was coming.
I have a parts kit and receiver I bought, then I got into knifemaking. I need to build that FAL and try it - never shot one. I even bought ammo from Ammoman!
They are fun, I built a STG with Styer barrel she will shoot moa with good ammo.
Sweet! That stock really looks sharp too. How well does the varmint light work?
My favorite FAL variant would be the only one I have.
Cool, I can't wait to see a range report.
I just wish I had one, let alone a variant
Nice looking rifles. Never shot a FAL.....maybe one day.
I took it to the 50 yd. range to see if it would hit paper. I put 140 rds. downrange to check her out and it's shooting about 6" low and 6" to the left. I didn't try any precision shooting, just dumped a few mags with decent grouping considering speed of shooting. Once I get the iron's dialed in, I'm gonna scope it.
I just bought another FAL Friday evening. It's a Izzy HB built on an Imbel receiver, the original parkerized finish is in pretty good condition. The buttstock isn't in as good of condition as the rest of the rifle, excellent bore with strong square lands. Gonna find out how she shoots today. I have the .308 monkey on my back.
Sweet FAL you've got there Colt!
I have a L1A1 parts kit on a Century receiver. That rifle will digest about anything you can stuff into it! Oh ya, consider all guns in my house loaded!!!
LOL, same here sniper I was asked about that one time to which I replied "Just what good would it do if I need it and it was empty?"
Keep the Irons, its a battle rifle, try a scope to see how well it will shoot.
Nice Weapon CC
This is a DSA Tac Carbine. It is a great gun and is my primary SHTF gun. It's not much heavier than an AR and the recoil is suprisingly light. It really likes the SA surplus ammo.
Nice rifle David. I also notice the Becker, I have one just like it.
I believe I remember the main character in "Light's Out" carrying a FAL, what a coincedence. In the new story, we haven't found out yet what the main character is carrying. Maybe the same? What is the length of the barrel on the Tac Carbine?
Thanks, E.L. I didn't get this one until last year. When I wrote the story, I only had what I like to call a "FrankenFAL".
The barrel length is 16.25 inches.
David, you need to come over to East Texas some time and we can get together with some of our E. TX. chapter and do a little four wheeling and shooting. I am hoping to do some of that this summer at family ranches north of Uvalde. If I do you should consider joining me.
