We have truly become a nation of spineless, scared, sheeple wussies. Next time someone thanks me for my service I think I might just put my boot up their ass and tell them "YOU TURNED OUT NOT TO BE WORTH THE EFFORT!"
Don't turn on those thanking you for your service. There are plenty of folks still out there that think ex military folks are neo Nazi Neanderthals, and they are mostly elitist progressives. They deserve your anger.
I'm not going to read much into it. Locally our polling place was in the local elementary school. It basically took over their gymnasium and had a line out the door. This year it's at the old high school turned into senior center. No kids to deal with. Just us old folks. Have you been to a school recently. Kids hardly have enough time to make it from class to class let alone dodge a bunch of old people, parents, parents with little kids in tow, folks on lil' rascal scooters and what not. And that is just inside the school. What about when school lets out. Busses, parents picking up their kids at the end of the day or after some extracurricular activity after school. It is bad enough with out the voters. With anticipated record turn out .. it's probably better if kids don't have to deal with the voting public. Again, someone is probably just stirring the pot.
If somebody realizes that I am former mil...and thanks me for my service...I nod and say thanks.... and keep on moving. life is short and I have little concern about there sincerity. If another vet says that to me, we both laugh..and drive on....
I always thought it was a dumb idea to have all kinds of people showing up at a school with all the kids there . It would be the perfect time to pull off something stupid .
Interesting, just checked the calendar for the kid's schools. November 8th is a "Teacher Work Day", with no classes being held. And the calendar was finalized over a year ago (next year's calendar is already finalized), which means the stupidity playing itself out on TV and radio didn't necessarily enter into the decision.
My polling place is---------a Church! Wouldn't the city liberals crap themselves if that happened in Chicago
I doubt we will know anything the 8th. Lots of paper ballots this year. Trouble will come the 9th. Neither side will lose well.
Poll: Clinton builds lead in divided nation worried about Election Day violence Notice they are predicting violence on the conservative side. I find that ironic because the right rarely riots and the left promotes and funds riots. Then yesterday the news was all excited over Joe Walsh and his tweet- Walsh had emitted this tweet: "On November 8th, I'm voting for Trump. On November 9th, if Trump loses, I'm grabbing my musket. You in?" My child has school but the Colorado tends to be laid back in stuff. I cannot recall a riot.
If they cancel school, don't they take the risk that the kids might learn something without being brainwashed?
Not necessarily....there'll be plenty of kinder glued to the idiot box, the play station, or their PC, playing Minecraft or WoW.
