    Asia-Off-Grid RIP 11-8-2018

So, originally, I thought I just had diabetes, which was later confirmed. Then, it was possibly one version of Hepatitis. After after having been misdiagnosis so many times previously. throughout my years here, I almost gave up on visiting doctor in Cambodia.

Then, after a recent visit with a doctor from the Philippines, she gave me hope, in diagnosing me with possible gallstones. Not that I had gallstones, mind you. But, the fact that my symptoms actually led to that as being a genuine diagnosis. However, after learning I would be seeing a surgeon from England, light again, was seen at the end of the tunnel. I had received excellent treatment from Filipino doctors during my years in the Philippines.

Of course, after my consultation with the surgeon, a CT scan, and some additional blood tests, it turns out I have pancreatic cancer. The gentleman was apprehensive to give me any sort of a timeline, until having been pressed into doing so. Upon doing so, he estimated between 6 and 12 months. But, stated he was not God, and that was his best estimate. By the way, he charged me nothing for my consultations. And, he gave me his personal cell number and informed me to ring him at anytime, with any questions or concerns regarding my illness.

I have noticed that I tire more easily now, and tend to make more errors in composting posts, emails, etc. I will try to check them more thoroughly, though prior to sending them, if / when possible. If I fail to succeed at that, my apologies in advance.

Am sorry to hear your news Paul. If there is any up side to this, it is that you will have the opportunity to put your affairs in order and suck the marrow out of what is remaining.

Usually Dr's give a ball park estimate...the C will follow its own course however.

You have a number of decisions and choices to make, i hope you have the the necessary supports availble to help you along the way.

I'll still be here for you to spar with if you should need the distraction.

    Cheers.

The cancers that VA presumes to be caused by Agent Orange exposure are:
    • Chronic B-cell Leukemias.
    • Hodgkin's disease.
    • Multiple myeloma.
    • Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
    • Prostate cancer.
    • Respiratory cancers (including lung cancer)

Prayers indeed Paul. I'm with Chello on the time thing, my sister and sister-in-law were given 6 months and one lasted 2 years the other 5. As for making mistakes on posts, don't sweat the small stuff, we're just glad to have the posts in whatever form.

This is very bad news, and I will be praying for you every day, Paul.

Check for treatments in the US. In the last few years I have had a couple of operations that were straight out of Star Trek. One took place while I was inside a CAT scan. While they were imaging me they used a probe to take a biopsy of a cancerous tumor on one of my kidneys and then used the same probe to freeze the remaining tissue. The result was a complete cure, though kidney cancer has a 98% cure rate it was still pretty impressive. I had one small incision in my back. My point is that there have been some pretty amazing advancements in cancer treatments and surgeries. I immediately did some research (plemty) when they made the diagnosis but didn't find out anything about this level of treatment.

Were it me I would beat my feet to OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University) here in Portland. It is a center of excellence for research and new treatments. It's also connected via a sky bridge to the Portland VA Medical Center which is also a center of excellence for health care if you are a vet. Both of them work closely with each other and OHSU even leases the top floor of the VA.

I do not know what to say. This news sucks. The responses above cover many of my thoughts. The Dr just gave you an estimate, that is not set in stone. I wish you had better Doctors over there.

I can't say that it works, I won't offer false hope. Inyectable Amygdalin B17 / Laetrile - Laetrile Supply

Also, I don't know how much stem cell therapy would work, but checking out Dr. Neil Riordan couldn't hurt. Stem Cell Institute Panama - Stem Cell Therapy - Stem Cell Institute

Even if you just end up eating healthy and staying positive while enjoying the time you have left, you're better off than giving up (many people do lose hope, I'm not saying you will) so rise above this and beat it by refusing to submit, even if the chances are 3%, that's still a chance.
