    Move a tad south. When I lived in Alvordton, OH me and my buddies would routinely cross into southern MI to put our 4x4's to use on the awesome rutted mud roads around Hudson, Jackson, and Adrian.

    I worked in the Detroit area in the early 1990s for a couple of years and headed back South. The area was great for fishing but too many gun laws.

    The snow cone machines are the way you make friends with the islamo camel buggers.
    If you think Michigan roads are bad,dont ever go to anywhere in New Jersey.Michigan roads are a dream in comparison.

    I see a pattern with overtly corrupt state .govs and crappy roads. Y'all (yous guys for the yoopers) need to come check out the states with either no sales tax or no income tax. Our infrastructure is sound - maybe it's all the extra revenue generated through environmental compliance. (I spend $1/4 million a year on avian and bat fatality monitoring at my 300 million dollar site.)
